WEDDING AT PLUSH MANOR – JUNE 16, 2018

 

We wanted to write to you to thank you for the absolutely wonderful catering you provided for our wedding last Saturday.

 

Before I elaborate, I must tell you that we have already received some letters and verbal feedback from guests saying that not only was this one of the best weddings they have ever attended, but also that the food was, without doubt, the best they had ever eaten at a wedding.

 

You and your team delivered this with such professionalism and style, and there was literally nothing we could fault. Having delivered a reception for nearly 100 people, followed by a four-course formal dinner including different wines with each course, you then turned everything around on Sunday morning and produced a lunch for 80 people which looked as though it was a completely new event!

This is a serious testament to the operation that you run.

 

The food itself was extraordinarily good, starting with canapes including scallops cooked in front of guests and served on shells (described by two guests as ‘sublime’ and ‘the best canape I have ever eaten’), and followed by a wonderful starter of fig with ricotta cheese and pancetta. The barbequed local lamb for the main course received universal acclaim and several people have commented that this is the first wedding they have attended where the vegetables were freshly cooked to perfection (so often they are overcooked or dried up). We then had the wonderful collection of local artisan cheeses followed by an absolutely delicious panna cotta with raspberries. And a finale of home-made florentines that my new wife has not stopped talking about since.

 

You really are a genius with food.

 

I must also mention the extraordinary service from your front of house team and waiting staff. All immaculately turned-out and helpful and charming. Nothing was too much trouble.

 

We have been to many weddings where, quite frankly, the food has been poor and the service indifferent, with the same tired old formulas being ‘trotted out’. You manage to create innovative and exciting food which is cooked to perfection, even for large numbers of people.

 

Please accept our heartfelt thanks and admiration and we shall not hesitate to sing your praises to everyone we speak to about our wedding!
